Frank DeMarco (Frankie DeMarco) is known for his cinematography on All Is Lost (2013) with Robert Redford, Rabit Hole (2010) with Nicole Kidman, Margin Call (2011) with Kevin Spacey, Delerious (2014) with Steve Buscemi, The Winning Season (2009), Spring Breakdown (2009) with Amy Poehler, Beerfest (2006), Shortbus (2006) award winning documentary, Theramin (1994), Academy Award winning best short documentary, The Johnstown Flood of 1889 (1990), and noteably, John Cameron MItchell's, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001).
It was while filming tests in 1996 for Darren Aronofsky's, Pi, that Frank DeMarco invented the Ultra 16 format. A 16mm film format that uses regular 16mm cameras and lenses but creates a film image slightly bigger than Regular 16mm and just slightly smaller than Super 16mm.
